Donya is an 18-year-old girl from a low-income family. Her father is too sick to work, and her mother supports them by working long hours in a sewing workshop under difficult conditions.
Donya always dreamed of becoming a doctor so she could heal her father. She studied hard and earned excellent grades. Eventually, she took the university entrance exam and was accepted into medical school—but in a city far from home.
Even at a state-funded university, the costs of studying in another city are significant, and Donya couldn’t afford them. The financial burden left her heartbroken and disappointed, and she was about to give up on her lifelong dream—until a friend introduced her to our charity.
